Brother Fax

Mike Dinsdale, communications director for Brother fax UK says rumours of the death of brother fax have been greatly exaggerated. When computer systems crashed last week at the Department of Work and Pensions workers had to resort to brother fax machines to maintain communications. Unions have called the event the biggest computer failure in public sector history. Mike Dinsdale says: "Though brother fax technology has long since passed its 20th birthday, it has a tenacity and resilience that means it keeps going when things go wrong with web-based communications. And now that all-in-one business machines, which include brother fax, print, copy and scan functionality, are being taken seriously by consumers and businesses alike, it looks like there’s life in brother fax technology yet.

Brother Fax

Brother UK has merged its brother printer and brother fax divisions into one headed up by Phil Jones as non-executive sales director. The company says it will now adopt a channel rather than a product-based sales structure. The restructure has resulted in six redundancies including Keith Whittle, general manager of the printer division. The company says that those made redundant have either been offered alternative positions or are being supported in seeking alternative work. At the end of this month, managing director Ted Nicholls is to retire and Hiroshi Suzuki will take over the MD role for Brother UK
